J.J. Bittenbinder Oct. 7...HHEF: "Street Smarts"
Former homicide and crime-scene detective J.J. Bittenbinder, a leading expert on crime prevention and personal safety, will bring his critically acclaimed "Street Smarts" presentation to Horsham in a free event sponsored by the Innovative Learning Grant program of the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation.

Give Mom a break! Come over to St. John Bosco for an evening of good food and entertainment. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad and roll. Entertainment is provided by Badda Bing.

Oct. 16-18 & Oct. 23-25...Hatboro Haunts
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce adds a new attraction to HatOberFest, six days of “Hatboro Haunts,” featuring a haunted house, cemetery hay ride, amusement rides, games and food at Hatboro's Miller Meadow, York and Horsham Rds. Also, a Fall Sidewalk Sale and a Not-So-Scary Haunted House, Costume Parade and Pumpkin Painting for younger kids.

Just weeks before the Presidential election, national politics takes center stage when Washington D.C.'s favorite political couple, James Carville and Mary Matalin, engage in a lively and entertaining exchange of bipartisan views. Sponsored by the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation, the husband and wife - best-selling authors and political pundits who have worked for presidents for the past 25 years - will present "All's Fair: Love, War and Politics."

Business Networking Oct. 9...B2B Networking at Cafe La Fontana
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce will host an October networking lunch and business card exchange from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Cafe La Fontana in Hatboro. Open to both chamber members and non-members, the business-to-business luncheon provides an open forum for networking, plus an opportunity for those attending to introduce themselves and their businesses to the group. Purchase a Brick for "The New Tanner Park"
Elm Street Hatboro, The Hatboro-Horsham Kiwanis Club, in conjunction with the Hatboro Village Players, will be constructing a lighted, paved, walkway into Tanner Park to replace the old macadam walkway. Monies raised from the sale of engraved bricks will be used for new playground equipment, and to upgrade the entire Tanner Park.
